This was my first travel journal, written over five years ago on a four week trip to Peru. I made the classical mistake of taking an unsuitable book. Pages feel out, the binding wouldn't open flat and the cover was too soft. By the way, that's how I started tying ribbons around my journals: it keeps the loose pages in and stops the whole thing from falling apart.
Minor technical difficulties aside, I am quite pleased with this one. When I look back now, it brings back so many memories. At the time, I didn't only write down what we did but I recorded stories people told me as well, which I especially appreaciate now. I would have completely forgotten them otherwise.
