SEEN: The opera "Don Giovanni" and the play "12th night"
ENJOYED: a picnic in the park, in fancy clothes
DRUNK: Far too much
LAUGHED AT: Stories of friends
LEFT AT HOME: My key. It meant no dinner.
MADE: A carpet and 237 cupcakes (or that's what it felt like)
GOT RID OF: A wisdom tooth
DANCED AT: A wedding
HUGGED: Lots of old friends
WROTE: Some amusing limericks.

This week

TASTED: Strawberries, by the dozen. This is the only time of year when they are worth it.
ENJOYED: A really good cup of coffee and some political discussions with random strangers.
DISCOVERED: Spotify is awesome! Limitless music.
MET: a guy on a late night train. Sometimes these random encounters are the best.
PAID ATTENTION TO: The sky. It just is amazing, even when it is "just"cloudy.
CRIED ABOUT: Being deliberately not invited. Sometimes life is a bitch.
REGRETTED: That third beer. Definitely.

This week

MADE – all the cake. In the world.

ENJOYED – walking barefoot. Finally!

THOUGHT – What is the point of having an amazing lawn if anything but sitting quietly on it will get you yelled at?

LAUGHED AT – the mister balancing a stuffed sheet on his nose.

WORRIED ABOUT – Moving out and finding a room in Oxford. I don’t want to :(

CARED FOR – The flowers in the garden. I’m loving the way my little garden is looking at the moment

SEARCHED FOR – My passport. It turned out to have fallen behind the bed.

GRIEVED FOR – My grandfather, who passed away after a long illness.

Last week

Done: Got everybody to share the kitchen cleaning more evenly. Turns out putting up a list where everybody notes down what they have done does the trick.

Thought: (Every morning) “The money spent on this blanket was so worth it”

Made: a belt

Loved: Breakfast with the Mister in my favourite Café

Learned: A lot about string theory.

Resented: Still my bank. Stupid thing.

Read: The trouble with physics

This week...

I have to study lots.Unfortunately this is true for the next two and a half months. Of course, the beginning of the revision period coincided with the first sunny days. As ever.

Gardening last week worked a treat. I can't wait for everything to grow.

This week...

... I'm afraid that the aim stays the same: Work in the garden. That's because I really didn't get round to it last week. New week, new game!

This week...

... I want to get on with the garden and plant out the first plants.

Reading last week worked really well. I got through several of the little books and I finally feel like myself again. Note to self: Using "you may not read if you don't do the unpleasant things first" does not make me do the houshold chores but it does very effectively prevent me from reading. Time to scrap that strategy!

This week...

... I want to read more. My reading pile is growing and growing. Time to fight back!

Smiling more last week was a bit of a challenge. Some days it was easy, some days it was much more difficult but I suddenly did find many small things worth a smile and made a point of giving it every time.
