7 things and the Give-Away winner

Seven things I used my hands for this weekend. Join in if you want to! :)

Important news first: The Give-Away has officially closed and I picked the two lucky winners the old fashioned way: With a teacup and some pretty paper. Caitlin and Symphora, congratulations.

Apart from that, I got my feet ready for the warm weather...

... had my first cup of home grown fresh mint tea...

... wrote some notes for uni...

... tied my shoelaces to go running...

... made many more little hexagrams for my quilt...

... and ate the first strawberries of the year.

What did you do over the weekend?

7 things

Finally, the "7 things" are back! To avoid having to show you another 500 pictures of my laundry because I can't think of anything else, I have decided to follow Centi's idea and make it "7 things I used my hands for this weekend" instead of "7 things I used my hands for this Sunday", as originally suggested by Frau Liebe. Join us, if you feel like it!

This weekend, I...
...watered some little hopefuls.
...pinned some fabric together.
...baked some bread. I originally let the dough rise by just setting it in a bowl on the counter and then put on a lid and stuck it in the fridge overnight, as suggested by the recipe. When I checked on it a few hours later, the dough had continued to rise in the fridge, pressing the lid firmly against the ceiling of the fridge and escaping from every crack. I had serious trouble getting the whole monster out of the fridge again!
...fixed a hole in my favourite tights. Why do the best things always break first?
... had a luxurious breakfast outside.
...tied a bow.
...wrote some letters.

7 things

Seven things I used my hands for today, no matter how long.

I started the day by opening my advent calendar,

and then went on to enjoy the tea. This one had a lovely christmasy flavour.

I wrote my christmas cards,

picked out some jewellery for the day,

worked on some stuff for uni,

worked on some more stuff for uni,

and towelled of my absolutely drenched hair after getting surprised by the rain on the way home.

7 things

As every week, seven things I used my hands for today.

I collected some branches,

lit a candle

and combined them into a christmas decoration.

 I also went shopping,

did some work

and worked on my new project. (More on that soon)

Then there was also the mystery project, which isn't to be revelaed quite yet but it involved cutting lots of paper, as you can see here.

7 things

Every Sunday, I join Frau Liebe and many others in documenting seven things I have used my hands for today, evne if it was only for two minutes. I think it's a great way to show me that even on lazy days, (which today really wasn't) I do quite a lot. Here we go, today I...

... made porridge for everybody.

... turned many pages in a difficult book.

... watered Brianna (left) and Gwendolyn (right).

... finally took the Snowflakes off the window to clean them. Yes, they have been up since last December.

... hung up several loads of laundry.

... made something out of these gorgeous papers. I'll show you soon, when I am completely done. Isn't the dark blue one amazing?

... fixed two bikes ( in the dark ).

7 things

I know it's already monday but I just did not get round to it yesterday. The Mister was blocking the computer. Now I mananged to fight it off him and can present you with what kept me busy yesterday. You can tell it was lazy day by the fact that it mostly involves food.

I made myself a sweet treat after I got up...

...and later shared a more elaborate breakfast with the Mister.

I supplemented our somewhat sparse flowers with some new additions while the Mister spent some time cutting down bushes. We have gardening sorted out: I plant, he cuts.

Afterwards, I made my first attempt at gutting a fish. I doubt this will ever become my favourite exercise.

Eating said fish is much higher up the list of things I'd like to do again.

I expanded the jungle on our window sill...

... and packed myself some lunch from the leftovers and some extras.

7 things

Even though this was a somewhat short sunday (Funny, how this sometimes happens) I did get a few things done. So here we go, seven things I used my hands for today, as seen on Frau Liebe

I enjoyed the fry-up the Mister made for us. Nothing like a high energy start to the day...

I took the tea cozy to the garden again,

Packed lunch for tomorrow,

Made sure the Mister doesn't float away,

Had some left over apple cake,

Picked up a treasure,

and started a new project.

7 things

Seven things I used my hands for today

I made myself a nice breakfast ( and enjoyed the peace and quiet while nobody was up),

measured the dimensions of my teapot
and designed it a cozy to keep it warm. ( I dislike cold tea. Funny, isn't it?)
I finally finished off that skirt,
took out too many screws
and then enjoyed barricading Squeak in the bathroom

before making an attempt at conquering greece. Successful day.
